
The author
Andrea Brew Harrison is a South Louisiana native with a lifelong passion for literature. Growing up immersed in the state’s rich Creole and Cajun influences, she developed a deep appreciation for cultural narratives and Bayou State traditions. Andrea has been an educator since 2003. She combines her expertise and creativity to help foster the love of reading in young children. In 2016, Harrison published her debut children’s book, ’Twas the Night Before Bayou Classic, followed by ’Twas the Night Before Bayou Classic: A Tiger’s Tale in 2017. Her latest work, Belle of the Boil is an ode to Louisiana.
Harrison earned her bachelor’s degree from Southern University and A&M College, a Master of Education from Northwestern State University, and a Master of Library Science from Texas Woman’s University. Andrea enjoys traveling with her husband, browsing unique bookstores, and searching for Louisiana’s best-boiled crawfish.
